Ask what kind of study it is, how many people it had, who they were, and whether others agree. Here's how, and how this blog labels its evidence.
A rep is one lift; a set is a group of reps. Machines and free weights showed no clear strength difference. Write down the weight and reps for every set.
Watch your lifts first. Add a tape around your waist, and judge body weight by its weekly average. One body-fat scale reading means little.
