Connect Apple Health or Health Connect
Send your workouts, weight and nutrition to Apple Health or Health Connect, and bring your weight and steps back in.
Updated
The Gymbers app can share data with Apple Health on iPhone and with Health Connect on Android. Connecting is per phone, and you choose what's shared.

It's the gear at the top of your profile. Tap Apple Health in the Health section.
Tap Connect Apple Health
The screen lists what's read and written before you start.
Allow access
Apple's permission sheet opens. Tap Turn On All, or switch on just the types you want, then tap Allow.

Health Connect needs Android 9 or later. On older versions the option doesn't appear.
What gets shared
Once you're connected, the same screen has a main switch and one switch per type: Workouts, Body Measurements, Nutrition and Steps.
| Switch | What it does |
|---|---|
| Workouts | Sends each workout when you finish it, as strength training with its start time and duration. |
| Body Measurements | Sends bodyweight and body fat % when you log them, and brings in bodyweight logged elsewhere. |
| Nutrition | Sends a day's calories, protein, carbs and fat. |
| Steps | Brings in your daily steps. |
Workouts are sent the moment you finish one. Bodyweight and steps come in when the app syncs — when you open it, or switch back to it after a while.
Nutrition goes when the app syncs, as one total for the day. If you log more food, or fix yesterday's diary, the next sync replaces that day's total rather than adding to it.
Bodyweight brought in from Apple Health or Health Connect counts like any other weigh-in, so it can update your calorie target if Auto-update calories is on.
If access was denied
If you didn't allow access when asked, the screen shows a banner saying access was denied. Tap it to open your phone's settings and turn access on.
Disconnect
Turn off the main switch on the same screen. The app stops sharing straight away. Data already sent stays in Apple Health or Health Connect, and the permissions you granted stay until you remove them in the Health app or Health Connect.
